Craft Check is a mobile (iOS and Android) app and web-site which allows verification of beers as a American Brewer’s Association craft beer by either the scan of the barcode or a quick text search. A lot of supposedly “craft” beer you see on grocery store shelves are actually made by conglomerates who have either snapped up the original brewer or manufactured their own lines. Now, there is nothing wrong with choosing to drink non-craft beer; I love me a Guiness. But if you are intentionally shelling out the extra dollars because you believe it is special or you are helping a local brewer, it should be an informed decision!
